Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oats for a Happier Gut

Bloated by 3 p.m.? Try pie for breakfast instead. This jar tastes like the filling of a pumpkin pie, and it's made of things your gut actually likes: fiber, live cultures and nothing heavy.

Why it works

  • Oats and pumpkin both bring soluble fiber, the kind your good bacteria feed on.
  • Greek yogurt adds live cultures, and the protein keeps you full until lunch.
  • Maple syrup instead of refined sugar, and just a teaspoon. The spice does most of the "sweet" work.
  • It's ready when you wake up, so a heavy, rushed breakfast isn't the default.

Tip: plain canned pumpkin keeps for 5 days in the fridge once open. Make three jars at once and breakfast is done until Thursday.
